Bridges to Prosperity at Virginia Tech

We are student led service organization that seeks to empower developing communities through foot bridge building, thereby advancing community public works, economic prosperity, and community access to schools, medicine, jobs, and markets.  Bridges to Prosperity seeks to advance the lives of each student involved by providing an opportunity to broaden cultural perspectives, gain hands-on professional experience, and by allowing each student to use their own education to serve others who are less fortunate.

Fundraiser
 - Fundraiser Monday 3/4 at Benny's, 110 Draper Rd NW, Blacksburg, Virginia 24060
Come out for some exceptionally large and delicious pizza and to help with our newest bridge in Haiti's central plateau.  It is sure to be a great time!

Possible Bridge Location - We are now looking closely at a place in the central plateau of Haiti, where possibly 50,000 people could be assisted by a single bridge.  This location is nearby to the Te Peligre project.  More information will be posted as we get it!

Bridge Update! - While we await corporate assistance for the complex bridge in Tibi, we are out scouting new bridge locations.   Currently two spots are being surveyed for us.  For now, we'll focus on fundraising so we can get our next projects going as strong as possible once we get locations.

New Bridge!
 - We are very excited to announce the location of our new bridge project in Camp Perrin, Haiti.  This project will be in the county of Tibi and will service 20,000 people as they access hospitals, schools, and markets.  Tibi is our largest endeavor yet, spanning 110 m with 4 tiers on one side and 5 on the other upon completion. Additionally, we are working to educate and equip the community of Camp Perrin with the knowledge and skills to continue improving their local infrastructure. The community is desperate for a bridge and we cannot wait to start building in this incredible community!

Lougou is Finished!
- The bridge that began in 2012 was finished this past January.
